Attention Mongooses!

Thanks to some recent events, I have been questioning the status and/or fate of this current website. Volly herself wanted this thing changed and/or updated, and with absolutely no information provided to me regarding the ins-and-outs of this website and it's hosting info, I have created a new little chunk of internet for us to call home in the (inevitable?) event that the hosting plan on this site runs out.

http://fmguild.wowstead.com/

this thing is still brand new, so it is pretty bare bones right now, but hopefully with a bit of TLC it can become a home away from home for us.

it's linked to the curse network, so i believe a curse ID may be required for each member to use it effectively (i had one anyway, so i wouldn't know otherwise), but it will show our recent news, activities, thoughts, opinions, and all the other gubbins that comes with a guild website.

so please, make yourself at home Smile

Don't need curse id - I just registered without it!

Edit - seems I now have a curse id Smile!

should point out that because I have not set up any sort of payment plan (I don't have the spare funds for it), we have a 30 day free trial of the "premium" website plan. after this, it will be bumped down to a standard free (i think) plan with some reduced features, but everything we need is still there.

Art,

guild members need to be added correctly to the new site as we cant access things like guild side of the forums, the Calander, Progression or the guild bank mate... think you have to approve access as your the website manager.. But Im trying to remember from over two years ago, when I last had a guild site on WoWstead...

the permission system on this thing is rather confusing, but i think i've managed to give proper access to members of Yeoman rank or above. let me know if this has worked. Smile

alternatively, I could make you a site admin as well, Lliff, then you can lend a hand! Laughing out loud

also, make sure you have associated your characters with the roster and the site. the permission system is based on our actual guild rank, and you will probably have to be properly registered to make the most of the features.

i think.

Art; Website info
-no idea about hosting/proper way this site runs as it was custom built.
-admin users have to be added by Shell, so alas i cannot pass anything over.

hence the entire point of this thread. you wanted something done, so i did. and given the fact that i had no access to admin-y stuff on this site, i started afresh. it seemed the easiest option

Also, Lliff, you am admin now.
